High Performance Computing Applications Seminar
Spring 2008
CS 496-02, CS 677-04, ME 677-08
Course description: MSU has a 140 processor high performance computing cluster available for student and faculty research. This class will introduce students to the cluster and will include seminars describing the HPC hardware and various applications in such fields as electrical, computer, civil and mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry and biology. All students will have access to the machine for experiments. Undergraduates will be given lab work to explore a particular application. Graduates will be asked to review related literature and explore an HPC solution to a problem related to their area. The HPC was purchased and is supported by NSF grant CTS-0619641.Class
