27 October 2004:  As mentioned in class, the assignment of generating exam questions and working with the Earley algorithm and unification are posted for homework.

7 October 2004: HW3 has updated problems for Ch. 10.  A portion of class next week will be spent working on the fsm tools in TRe315.

21 September 2004:  Homework 2 is complete and includes computer exercises as well as some background research exploration.

14 September 2004:  Before class on Thursday email me with answers to the following questions: What are you finding interesting?  What point(s) are confusing? 

8 September 2004:  HW1 has been updated.  An additional RegExp question has been added.  The data problems should be done by Friday Sept 10. 

3 September 2004: HW1 is now online on the handouts page.  There is a link to the page below.

2 September 2004: Get a krypton account and email me with your account name.  Experiment with translating on babblefish (or a site found through babblefish).  Play with ELIZA.
